(Buchholz Gallery (Curt Valentin), New York, New York); purchased by the MIA in 1951.

[2] According to Daniel Henry Kahnweiler, "An Artful Life," p. 220, "Reber had to sell off a lot of his Cubist collection in 1929 following the crash of the stock market." Reber may have been buying for Paul Rosenberg and Co., and also purchased several works from the Heinemann Galerie, Munich, Germany.

[3] The work was owned jointly by Fine Arts Associates and Knoedler's.
