Description
Deutsch: Josef Kestel (* 29. Oktober 1904 in Kronach; † 19. November 1948 in Landsberg/Lech) war als SS-Hauptscharführer im Konzentrationslager Buchenwald eingesetzt. Im Dachauer Buchenwald-Prozess wurde er zum Tode verurteilt und hingerichtet.
English: Josef Kestel was SS-Hauptscharführer in the concentration camp of Buchenwald. In the Buchenwald Camp Trial (part of the Dachau Trials) he was sentenced to death by hanging.
