Description John Woodruff #745 of the USA crosses the finishing line followed by Mario Lanzi of Italy and Philip Edwards #74 of Canada during the 800 metres event at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin. Woodruff won the gold, Lanzi the silver and Edwards the bronze medal in this event.
