Description
English: This is a letter written by John Forbes at Washington, Texas on March 2, 1836 which explains that Sam Houston moved for the adoption of the Texas Declaration of Independence from Mexico and that "Col. Palmer of the Bayou" (Martin Parmer from San Augustine also known as the Ayish Bayou) seconded Houston's motion.
