English: Journalist, editor, publisher, and prolific novelist, John Beauchamp Jones is best known today for his wartime diary, published after the war as "A Rebel War Clerk’s Diary at the Confederate States Capital" and used as an important primary source in studies of the Confederacy and the Civil War.
