English: Photograph of Johann Ludwig Christian "Lewis" Keseberg, a survivor of the Donner Party. This is taken after the Donner Party's events, in California. After the ordeal, Johann became a successful businessman, captaining a ship, co-owning a hotel, and opening a brewery from an abandoned bar room. In the flood of 1861-2, he lost it all, becoming destitute and homeless.
