Summary

Description Sir Jimmy Savile Leading the pipe band through Fort William to the en:Lochaber en:Highland Games in his capacity as Honorary en:Chieftain of the games.
This was taken on Saturday 29th July 2006, Sir Jimmy Savile recorded the final edition of en:Top of the Pops during the week rather than take part in a live broadcast on Sunday because of his commitment to the Lochaber Highland Games. He announced that he was stepping down from being Honorary Chieftain but would continue to be a "Special Friend" of the games. This is a cropped and rescaled version of the image, with blurred faces in the background.
