Hi Sarah - you can use the attached. Please make sure they spell his name correctly, tho - it has 2 t's at the end! He has it right in the subject line, but the link and other references are incorrect.

Subject: Seeking image of Jef Mallett for WikiPedia
Dear Sirs;
I am an editor on WikiPedia and have significantly enhanced an article about your client, Jef Mallett ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jef_Mallett ). I have placed a "disputed" promotional image temporarily in this article, but it will probably be removed within a week because of policy.
As a policy decision, WikiPedia prefers to have "free licensed" images when included with an article, since it requires no further licensing on the part of users. We are aware that Promotional images exist, but, normally rights are retained by the owner. "Fair use" of a promotional image has recently been changed at WikiPedia, now requiring that images, which could be replaced by a free image of the subject, be deleted.
I am writing to you to query whether you or your client have or would create and provide a suitable image (low resolution would be fine) which could freely be used in this WikiPedia article. The other option, if possible, would be to have a specific image with assigned rights for use on WikiPedia. (Creative Commons would be another alternative.) Of course, any image would need to have the owner information and date included for the image file record. (Any such authorization would be included with the image file verbatim.)
I sincerely appreciate your willingness to provide support to this request--I believe that it would be beneficial to us both.
Yours respectfully,
Larry McElhiney
