Description
English: The Imperial Japanese Navy aircraft carrier Akagi undergoing trials off Iyonada. Early in her career, she was fitted with three flight decks; the two lower decks were later plated over in a mid-1930s refit.[1]

Aircraft carrier and Seaplane carrier, p. 17. This photo is part of the records in the Yamato Museum (PG070935). Search with the kanji characters of Akagi (赤城) for the name (second field), and 空母 for the ship class (third field).
