English: Japan Coast Guard patrol vessel Yashima (PLH 22) in the harbor in Seattle, Washington during Operation Pacific Unity 2009.
SEATTLE-- The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Polar Sea is anchored as the Japan Coast Guard Cutter Yashima pulls into the U.S. Coast Guard's Pier 36 Aug. 29, 2009. The Yashima participated in Pacific Unity 2009 over the past couple of days in Port Angeles, Wash. The exercises commenced Aug. 23, and are scheduled to wrap up with closing ceremonies in Seattle Aug. 28.
