Summary

Description
English: Japan Airlines air hostesses in front of the aircraft Martin 2-0-2 Mokusei (もく星, "Jupiter") on the occasion of the airline's inaugural flight, 25 October 1951. Japan's civil aviation, which was prohibited by GHQ, resumed in 1951. "Mokusei" was also used in PR for Japan Airlines in the early days. On October 25, 1951, Japan Airlines started operating the "Mokusei" (Martin 2-0-2) between Tokyo (Haneda Airport) and Osaka (Itami Airport). On 9 April 1952, the Mokusei (registered N93043) crashed into Mount Mihara with 37 fatalities on Izu Ōshima, Japan. According to a report of the Government Accident Investigation Commission, "the pilot made some kind of error in navigation".
