Nederlands: Regenten van de Doopsgezinde Weeshuis Haarlem; rond een tafel v.l.n.r.: David Veen, zittend naast de tafel, donker haar en bakkebaarden, donker kostuum; binnenvader Albert Lieuwens, staande achter de tafel, kort donker haar en bakkebaarden, donker kostuum; Georg Voorhelm Schneevoogt, zittend voor de tafel, benen over elkaar, kort donker haar, donker kostuum; Antonie Wijnands, staande achter de tafel, kort donker haar, donker kostuum; Vincent Loosjes, zittend naast de tafel, papier aan Maria de Koning reikend, kort donker haar, donker kostuum. Rechts een groepje van zes staande weeskinderen: het oudste meisje, Maria de Koning, rechterhand uitgestoken om het papier van Loosjes aan te nemen, met linkerhand klein meisje bij de hand houdend, donkere japon, lichte omslagdoek, lichte muts. Op de met een kleed bedekte tafel een inkstel en een rol papier; op de vloer tapijt; op de achtergrond links een gordijn, in het midden een muur met twee schilderijen, rechts een openstaande deur.
