English: This image is taken from the book "The Great Iron Wheel Examined" (Nashville: 1856) which was written by Methdodist William Brownlow in response to James Robinson Graves' book "The Great Iron Wheel", which was a Baptist attack on the Methodist church. It depicts an unnamed ex-congressman who is said to have caned Graves in front of Scovel's drug store in Nashville for slandering a woman in a published editorial.
