JADE Computer Products was a retail and mail order supplier of computer and electronic parts. They advertised in hobbyist magazines such as BYTE and Popular Electronics. It was founded by Don Smith in 1975; the name came from Joann (Don’s wife) and Don Electronics or JADE.
