Камер-юнкер великого князя Петра Федоровича, с 1761 генерал-поручик. Сенатор (1768), действительный камергер, президент Вотчинной коллегии в Москве. Был женат на М.А. Волынской - дочери знаменитого кабинет-министра Артемия Волынского.
