Summary

Description

L'île San Servolo a abrité un couvent bénédictin au VIIIème siècle. Un hôpital militaire puis un centre psychiatrique y ont été construits à partir du début du XVIIIème siècle. Aujourd'hui, les bâtiments ont été rénovés et abritent, au sein d'un magnifique parc, un centre culturel, des ateliers artistiques et un centre de séminaire.

Dans le cadre de la biennale d'architecture de Venise en 2010, plusieurs expositions ont été installées sur l'île ainsi que des évènements collatéraux.
