English: Island House - Plymouth Barbican Dating from around 1572 it is reputed that the Pilgrim Fathers were entertained in this house prior to their departure for the New World in 1620. A plaque on the wall lists the names of all those who sailed on the voyage. It is also said that a baby was born to one of the women just before her departure on the Mayflower.
