Summary

Description
English: Portrait of Abbot Willibald Grindl of the Imperial Abbey of Irsee (1704-1731). This damaged painting with the abbot's coat of arms barely discernible is the only surviving portrait of Abbot Grindl, who ruled Irsee for a long time at a time of prosperity. He revamped the abbey's church in the baroque style. The painting from an unknown artist is believed to date from 1710-1720.
