Summary
| Description | This used to be known as Pardanthopsis but is now included in Iris (along with the closely related Belamcanda.) Both are rather slender plants related to the Evansia Irises (I.cristata, japonica etc) - these flowers are only about an inch and a half across and on stems well over 18ins high. The flowers last less than a day but come in succession over the late summer (unusual for an Iris which are mostly spring and early summer flowerers.) The flowers also seem to be unusually attractive to greenbottle flies |
