English: ARABIAN GULF (Aug. 15, 2016) The Iraqi navy Swift Boat (P-311) transits the Arabian Gulf with the U.S. Navy guided-missile destroyer USS Stout (DDG 55), not shown, as part of a Commander, Task Force 55 bilateral exercise. The U.S. participates in bilateral exercises with partner nations routinely to build and strengthen interoperability throughout the region. Commander, Task Force 55 controls surface forces including U.S. Navy patrol crafts and U.S. Coast Guard patrol boats throughout the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
