Portion used |
Three panels from page one of a story several pages long. |
Low resolution? |
low, unsuitable for high end reproduction. In particular, this image could not be used to make illegal copies |
Purpose of use |
Illustration of the artist's work. Comics are a visual medium, and an encyclopedic understanding of a comics artist's work requires illustration of his or her work. This is an example of Christopher Rule's inking style over the pencil art of Jack Kirby, his most prominent collaborator. This collaboration and its historical impact is discussed in the article. This is one of two illustrations in the article, and the only example of Rule's interior story art. |

In my opinion, this size (and likely the previous one) are small enough, and being that they represent one page in a many page book) minor enough of a portion, to qualify for fair use. |
