English: An animation showing an interlaced GIF image slowly loading in a web browser. The original photo File:White-fronted bee-eater (Merops bullockoides) Namibia.jpg was cropped, scaled down to 200x246px, dithered to 256 colors, and then saved as an interlaced GIF in GIMP. The resulting 37 kB image was served to Chrome on Linux, while slowing the web server's transfer speed to about 28.8 kbps, a typical mid-1990s modem speed. The resulting very slow loading was captured as an animated GIF with Peek and then enlarged for easier viewing, also using Peek. So this image is a GIF of a GIF of a GIF, basically.
