Description
English: Inscription in Punic characters: dedication to Baal Hammon and Tanit to whom the citizens of Thinissut had sanctuaries built. Ist century BC or Ist century AD (see A. Merlin). Known as KAI 137
Français : Inscription en punique lapidaire mélangé de quelques éléments cursifs (E. Vassel) trouvée en 1908 dans la région de Bir Bou Rekba, à environ un km au nord-est du lieu-dit Ksar ez-Zit, par le capitaine Cassaigne. Dédicace à Baal Hammon et Tanit auxquels les citoyens de Tinismut (écrit en punique, Tnsmt), qui pris plus tard le nom latin de Thinissut, firent ériger des sanctuaires. Elle pourrait dater de la fin du Ie siècle av. J.-C ou du début du Ie siècle ap. J.-C., selon A. Merlin. Anciennement conservée au Musée national du Bardo (inv. n° 1131).
