English: Silver inkwell with a dedication from the Brunei Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III to Datin Marianne Elisabeth Lloyd-Dolbey. The inkwell is engraved all over with bands of Islamic-inspired geometric design which is based on floral and leaf patterns derived from the bunga air mulih (water flower plant), a creeping flowering plant that grows in fresh water around Kampung Ayer (Water Village), the village that is built over the Brunei River.
The dedication (in Malay) is as follows: DENGAN INGATAN MUHIBBAH KAPADA DATIN SERI LAILA JASA MARIANNE E. LLOYD DOLBEY, D.S.L.J.S.M.B.P.O.A.S. DARIPADA SIR MUDA OMAR ALI SAIFUDDIN BRUNEISlovenščina: Srebrna črnilnica s posvetilom Brunejskega Sultana Omarja Alija Saifuddina III gospe Marjani Elizabeti Lloyd-Dolbey, rojeni Kopše.
Na črnilnici je vgraviran islamsko inspiriran geometrijski vzorec, ki je izhaja iz oblike listov in cvetov vodne rastline (bunga air mulih), ki raste v sladki vodi okoli Kampung Ayer, vasi na vodi v ustju Brunejske reke. Posvetilo (v malajščini) se glasi: DENGAN INGATAN MUHIBBAH KAPADA DATIN SERI LAILA JASA MARIANNE E. LLOYD DOLBEY, D.S.L.J.S.M.B.P.O.A.S. DARIPADA SIR MUDA OMAR ALI SAIFUDDIN BRUNEI |
