A fresco of an Indian Princess and Columbia honoring George Washington. This was painted by Constantino Brumidi (1805-1880) sometime between 1855 and 1856 in room H-144 of the US Capitol Building (currently the hearing room for the House Committee on Appropriations), during a time when he was a government employee hired because of his artistic skills..
