Summary

Description
Français : inde bastar femme muria costumé pour la danse

English: A woman of the Muria people. She is wearing a white headband made of beads, black necklace, and white and orange costume. She also has two piercings one, one in her nose and one in her right ear, as well as a bindi on her forehead.
The Muria are a scheduled tribe (adivasi) from the Bastar district of Madhya Pradesh, India. Prioritizing collectiveness, the Muria traditionally have homogenous economic stratification. They have been affected by contact with other groups, which has introduced new styles of clothing and different economic models.
