Deutsch: St. Lambertus Immerath, 2013 entwidmet, muss dem Braunkohletagebau Garzweiler II weichen. Das Kirchengebäude wurde von 1888 bis 1891 nach Plänen des Kölner Baumeisters Erasmus Schüller in einem „neuromanischen Baustil“ erbaut. Die Kirche wurde am 13. Oktober 2013 entwidmet. Die Übergabe an RWE Power, den Betreiber des Rheinischen Braunkohlereviers, erfolgte im April 2014. Das Kirchengebäude soll nun abgerissen werden. Am neuen Umsiedlungsort wird lediglich eine Kapelle errichtet. Die Kirchenglocken aus dem 15. und 17. Jahrhundert sollen nach Neu-Immerath überführt werden. Im Bild erkennt man, dass für den Ausbau der Glocken eine Schallluke des linken Turms ausgebrochen wurde.
English: St. Lambertus Immerath (Erkelenz), 2013 desecrated, is part of the Garzweiler II brown coal strip mining. The church building was built from 1888 to 1891 according to plans of the Cologne architect in a "neo-Romanesque architectural style" Erasmus Schüller. The Church was deconsecrated on 13 October 2013. The handover to RWE Power AG, the operator of the Rhenish brown coal district, took place in April 2014. The church building is to be demolished now. A new chapel is built on the new village for the people. The church bells from the 15th and 17th centuries are to be converted to new Immerath. In the picture you can see that a sound hatch of the left tower was broken out for the expansion of the bells.

L'église a été désacralisée sur 13 octobre 2013. De RWE Power, l'opérateur du district lignite rhénan, la livraison a eu lieu en avril 2014. Le bâtiment de l'église doit être démolie, maintenant. Une chapelle est construite sur la nouvelle village. Les cloches de l'église des XVe et XVIIe siècles sont à convertir en nouveau Immerath. Sur la photo vous pouvez voir qu'une trappe sonore de la tour de gauche était éclatée pour l'expansion des cloches.
