Description
English: English: The attributed arms of Bertilak de Hautdesert, better known as the Green Knight from "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight". The character appears in the later "Greene Knight" poem as Sir Bredbeddle and joins the Knights of the Round Table at the conclusion of the narrative. The Green Knight is also present as a knight in Arthur's court in "King Arthur and King Cornwall", again under the name Sir Bredbeddle. Blazon: Per fess dancetty, paly of six or and vert, and argent
