DescriptionIlkeston (Town) railway station (site), Derbyshire (geograph 4801745).jpg
English: Ilkeston (Town) railway station (site), Derbyshire Opened in 1847 by the Midland Railway as a short branch from the main line at Ilkeston Junction, this station closed in 1950 to passengers and completely in 1960.
View north east towards the forecourt on Bath Street. The original station road-level building stood roughly where the modern building now does. There was a pathway from the right-hand side down to the terminus platform at a lower level. The site has been completely redeveloped with the A6007 cutting across the site in the background.
