Ilen kirke ligger i Kongens gate 99 og er sognekirke for Ilen prestegjeld. Kirken som ble innviet den 7. juni 1889 har 900 sitteplasser. Kommunen var forpliktet til å bygge kirke, men forsøkte å spare på alle områder, blant annet ble skipet forkortet med flere meter for å unngå overskridelser på det knappe byggebudsjettet.

Ilen kirke er en korskirke i stein, oppført i nygotisk stil. Arbeidet ble påbegynt i 1893 og sto ferdig i 1889.
