The website owner of the Gilbert and Sullivan Discography, which is the immediate source of the image, is Marc Shepherd, who reports that the photographer has not been identified despite ongoing attempts to identify him or her. All persons depicted in the photo are long deceased. See Who Was Who in the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company.
