Summary

Description I took this photo on the way back from a day trip to Spencer Glacier in June 2009. Portage Lake is about an hour south of Anchorage via the Seward Highway - a great scenic highway. The last time I visited Portage Lake there were no icebergs on the lake, so this must be a heavy calving season.
