Description
English: The first Azerbaijani specialist in topography, major-general, the first person in the Caucasus to be awarded the rank of major-general in military topography.
Azərbaycanca: Topoqrafiya üzrə ilk azərbaycanlı mütəxəssis, general-mayor, Qafqazda hərbi topoqrafiya üzrə general-mayor rütbəsinə layiq görülmüş yeganə şəxsiyyət. Baş Qərargahda hərbi topoqrafiya şöbəsinin rəisi, ilk hərbi bayrağımızın tərtibçisi, 1920-ci ildə Azərbaycanın ilk coğrafi xəritəsinin müəllifi və respublikamızda topoqrafiya məktəbinin yaradıcısı olmuşdur. Müqəddəs Anna ordeninin üçüncü dərəcəsilə (1886), İranın "Şire-Xorşid" ordenilə (1888), Müqəddəs Stanislav ordeninin ikinci dərəcəsilə (1894), Müqəddəs Anna ordeninin ikinci dərəcəsilə (1897), Müqəddəs Vladimir ordenin dördüncü dərəcəsilə (1903) qiymətləndirilib.
