English: Ian Dury Memorial Bench in Poet's Corner, Richmond Park. The bench is inscribed "REASONS TO BE CHEERFUL", the title of a Dury Hit single; this is the only reference to Dury as there is no descriptive label.
The concept is that visitors would be able to plug in their earphones in one of the two socket in the bench and, powered by two small solar panels, listen to eight different musical pieces by Dury. Unfortunately, this function is currently not operational and, reportedly, has not been for approximately one year.
