Summary

Description
English: Indian Navy frigate INS Trikand (F51) of the Talwar class (modified Russian Krivak II class) departing from Portsmouth Naval Base, UK, on 16 July 2013, on an Indian-bound delivery voyage from the Baltiysky Zavod shipyard in St Petersburg. Ahead of the bridge are seen the 8-cell VLS (Vertical Launch System) for BrahMos and 3M-54 Klub anti-ship missiles, and the 12-barrelled RBU-6000 Smerch-2 launcher for anti-submarine rockets. Atop the mast are the distinctive canted twin aerials for the Fregat M2EM air search radar. Above the bridge is a Garpun-B fire control radar for the BrahMos or Klub missiles. On the bridge wings facing forward are two MR-90 Orekh target illumination radars for the 9M317 (SA-N-12) SAMs. Two more are located aft of the funnel facing aft.
