Dacian artefact from Piatra Roşie site. It is still a subject of debate if it is a umbo sheld or a gate decoration. Dimensions: 42 cm diameter 1.8-1.9 thick 5 cm heightRomână: Artefact dacic, probabil umbo de scut de paradă din cetatea dacică de la Piatra Roşie realizate din tablă de fier prin prelucrare în tehnica au repoussé la cald, având diametrul maxim actual de circa 42 cm şi o greutate de circa 1,5 kg; exista ipoteza ca ar fi putut fi, decoratii de porti. Pe unul dintre artefactele recuperate de la traficanti este reprezentat un zimbru, iar pe celălalt un grifon, fiind vorba de piese foarte rare din repertoriul armamentului dacic. |
