Use in article (WP:NFCC#7) | I'm the Greatest |
Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) | The image shows the lithograph for the song that was included in the Ringo album artwork. It illustrates and reflects the content of the song, which was partly inspired by boxer Muhammad Ali's boastful catchphrase "I am the greatest", in its tongue-in-cheek depiction of the musical artist, Ringo Starr, as a larger-than-life entity. As noted in the article text, sourced to author and music critic Bob Woffinden, the image also conveys Starr's congenial nature, whereby he was able to serve as a catalyst for the near Beatles reunion that is the most notable factor in the song "I'm the Greatest". |
Not replaceable with free media because (WP:NFCC#1) |
Because this is official artwork for the song's parent album, the image cannot be replaced by free content, either existing or otherwise. |
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3) | This file will only be used in an article dedicated to the song "I'm the Greatest". Given that the picture is official artwork for the original release of the song, the full image is needed to convey the intended meaning. No free content exists that could serve this purpose, nor could a free-content alternative be created that would adequately capture Klaus Voormann's vision for the song. |
Respect for commercial opportunities (WP:NFCC#2) |
The resolution of the image is sufficient to allow for visual identification of the 1973 illustration, but it is not of an adequately high resolution to permit copies to be made that would be of sufficient quality (at roughly A4 size) to enable an illegal copier to use commercially. |
