Summary

Description WAGR 3'6" gauge Class "B" 38 ton 0-6-0 diesel hydraulic shunter No.B1601 built by Commonwealth Engineering, Bassendean in 1962 with a 473 hp V12 Cummins VT12B1 engine. Withdrawn by Westrail in 1984 but stored until 1987 when it was sent for preservation to the West Australian Railway Museum, Bassendean, in 1991-2 it was loaned to Goninans for use as a works shunter before returning to the Museum. 2/10.
