Though this image is subject to copyright law I, Acather96 (talk), believe that it qualifies as fair use under US law, and that it also meets Wikipedia's non-free content criteria for the following reasons:

• It is a low-resolution screenshot used for educational purposes on the website en.wikipedia.org, that is in turn hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation, a non-profit organisation.
• It does not limit the producers rights to sell or make commercial profits from the work in any way.
• As the copyright holders have released no such images into the public domain, or under a similar free license that permits unlimited re-use, modification and commercial use, the image is not replaceable
• The image is used to aid with critical commentary of the film, in particular accurately depicting the film's animation style and also possibly helping with identification of the film (or characters within it) in question.

This image is a screenshot from a copyrighted film, and the copyright for it is most likely owned by the studio which produced the film, and possibly also by any actors appearing in the screenshot. It is believed that the use of a limited number of low-resolution screenshots for critical commentary and discussion of the film and its contents on the English-language Wikipedia, hosted on servers in the United States by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation, qualifies as fair use under the Copyright law of the United States. Any other uses of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, may be copyright infringement. See Wikipedia:Non-free content for more information.
