Summary

Combined Image:Vampire Smiley.png and Image:Nuvola apps aktion.png to use in WikiProject film stubs. Nightmare In Wax, a 1969 horror film is like a paraphrase of the much superior House of Wax (1953 version with Vincent Price)and the original film, Mystery of the Wax Museum (1933). But that is the only similarity. It starts out interesting but falls apart around the middle of the movie. Although interesting in parts, and the acting is fine, especially by Cameron Mitchell, it is gruesome and violent in parts, as was typical of horror films of the late 1960's and it borders on sadism. It cannot compare to the two previously mention horror/wax museum films. I would recommend House or Mystery for your viewing on a good Halloween night or just to catch two well- made horror films one from 1953 and 1933. Both are available on VHS and DVD. Enjoy! About Nightmare In Wax, this my opinion of course. You can decide for your self. Nightmare also has a copout and disappointing ending. Unless you need a good laugh or just want to watch it to compare it to the two previous film I mentioned, skip it!
