CERTIFICATE. Kiev, October 28, 1903. This is to certify, that the following record is present in the register of the Jewish population of the city of Kiev for the year nineteen hundred three / 1903 / part 1, of those born of the male column, #725: "September 18, in Kiev, from father Samuil Ioachimovich Gorovits, who graduated from the physical-mathematical department of St. Vladimir University, and mother Sofia / Sonya / Yakovlevna, a son was born and named "VLADIMIR." Seal of Kiev rabbi. Rabbi / S. Lurie / #3736
Note: the surname Horowitz is spelled Горовиц and pronounced "Gorovits" in Russian.

Hiermit wird beurkundet, dass der folgende Eintrag im Geburtenregister der jüdischen Bevölkerung der Stadt Kiew für das Jahr neunzehnhundertdrei / 1903 / Teil 1, von Geborenen männlicher Rubrik, unter Nr. 725 vorhanden ist: "Am 18. September wurde in Kiew von dem Vater Samuil Jakowlewitsch Gorowiz, Absolventen der physikalisch-mathematischen Fakultät der Wladimir-Universität, und der Mutter Sofia / Sonja / Jakowlewna ein Sohn geboren und "WLADIMIR" genannt."
