Summary

Photo of a scale model taken by Bill Schlemmer at the Hornbach Rathaus, April 15, 2005, depicts the walled town of Hornbach as it appeared in about 1550 AD. The fully connected monastery and old church are located in the left-center of the model, within the town walls. The very old church and Pirminus tomb is in the upper center. The Rathaus is the single building in the center of the market plaza in the right-center. The town gate is to the right of the Rathaus at the town wall. Horn Brook is at the top, Schwalb Brook at the bottom, and their confluence is a short distance downstream to the left.
