Description
English: "Canyon Wall Outlet Works". An early assignment of Bureau of Reclamation photographer on the nearly completed Boulder Dam. He took this photograph looking downstream from the crest of Boulder Dam on September 28, 1940. It shows radio, newspaper, and newsreel men being lowered by the government cableway, on a skip, for a close-up view of the water flowing from the canyon wall needle valves. This image has been on exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
