DescriptionHoney Bee gathering pollen image by Dr. Raju Kasambe DSCN4801 (13).jpg
English: Bees not only collect only nectar to make honey, they also collect pollen grains for making the bee bread.
Some bees collect pollen on their hairy bodies, then carry it back to their nests on their hind legs or in pollen baskets ('corbiculae' (‘corbicula’ if singular). Once the bee returns to its hive or nest, it deposits the pollen into an appropriate cell of the hive.
