The interior of Hofteatret (The Court Theatre) by Christiansborg Castle. The teatre was opened in 1772, but not much is known about what it looked like as the interior was completely changed in 1842. The teater closed in 1881 and the furniture was subsequently sold. Since 1922 it has been the home of "Teatermuseet" (the Theatre Museum).
