Summary

Description
English: Hmong high school students perform a traditional dance at a high school on the outskirts of Vientiane, Laos. The Hmong are one of the largest ethnic minorities in Laos, making up about 8-10% of the population. Some of the boys hold a khene (khaen), a traditional pipe instrument popular with many ethnic groups in Laos, and particularly important to the Hmong. This performance concluded a visit from Big Brother Mouse, a literacy project that visited the school that day with books and interactive educational activities.
