English: Hinewehi Mohi, of Auckland, received the Insignia of a Member of the NZ Order of Merit for services to Maori, on 2 September 2008. She promoted the international release of one of the first contemporary Maori albums, Oceania, which achieved more than 70,000 sales worldwide and has also performed overseas at a number of events, including the America’s Cup in Valencia, the Millennium Cup super yacht regatta in Mallorca, and the Rugby World Cup in Paris. She co-founded the Raukaturi Music Therapy Centre in 2004, which provides music therapy to children with special needs in Auckland.
