Description
English: Six high brass instruments - From the top left: Baroque trumpet in D, modern trumpets in Bb and D (operates at the same pitch D as the Baroque instrument, though half its length), piccolo trumpet in high Bb, Flugelhorn in Bb; right: cornet in Bb. Maker details: Baroque tpt by Michael Laird (actually designed by ML, built by a student/colleague who was probably German), about 1978; Bb is a Vincent Bach Stradivarius (c. 1980); D and piccolo by Selmer Paris (c. 1981 and c. 1978); Flugelhorn by DEG, c. 1982; Cornet by Smith-Watkins, c. 2002.
