Deutsch: Das Bild zeigt das offene Wasser am weniger verlandetem Nordende des Herrensees (Teil des FFH-Gebietes 3449-301, Herrensee, Lange-Damm-Wiesen und Barnimhänge in der nähe von Strausberg, Brandenburg). Das Ufer ist auch hier dicht mit Wasserpflanzen bewachsen, so daß ein freier Blick auf die Wasserfläche nur von wenigen Stellen aus möglich ist. Der einezelen Baum im See auf der linken Seite zeigt deutlich wie sehr der Wasserstand durch die Trockenheit seit 2013 abgesunken ist: Die "Manschette" aus ehemals an der Wasseroberfläche liegenden Wurzeln und Gräsern um den Stamm befindet sich ca. 30 bis 40cm über der jetzigen Wasseroberfläche.
English: The picture shows the region of open water at the northern end of lake Herrensee (Part of FFH-area 3449-301, Herrensee, Lange-Damm-Wiesen and Barnimhänge near Strausberg, Brandenburg). The dense growth of water plants restricts the view of the open water area from most locations along the shoreline. The lonesome tree inside the lake on the left side of the photo shows clearly how much the water level dropped during the dry conditions since 2013. |
