English: Herne Bay Court, Eddington, Kent, England, built around 1900. Showing the foot-deep rectangular depression in the ground in front of the building; the result of filling in the lake around World War I. It was originally called New College but was known as Eddington College. From around 1920 it was Herne Bay College, then from 1949 to 2006 it was a Christian conference centre. The building is empty as of 2011. |
